Adds Up

Terms of service

The agreement between you and us. It includes the data protection terms, so there is no separate document to ask for.

LAST UPDATED 15 OCTOBER 2026

01The agreement

This agreement is between you, the merchant installing Adds Up, and Cleo Wangayi, 3 3rd Street, Westview, Kadoma, Zimbabwe. You accept it by installing the app.

You confirm that you are authorised to install applications on the Shopify store in question and to give them the permissions Adds Up requests.

02What the app does

Adds Up reads your orders, refunds, returns, inventory, discounts and (if you turn it on) Shopify Payments payouts. It rebuilds them into one reconciled picture and points out where the money does not add up, with the records and the reasoning behind each point. It also lets you record what you did about an issue and how much you recovered.

03What the app does not do

The app is read-only. It asks for no write permission and cannot change your products, orders, inventory, discounts, prices or settings. Nothing it shows you happens in your store until you act on it in Shopify yourself. The only charge it can ever cause is its own subscription fee, under section 5.

04What the app tells you is analysis, not advice

This matters enough to say plainly. The app finds patterns in your records and estimates what they may be worth. It reports potential exposure, not proven loss, and it labels how sure it is and whether an amount is exact, calculated or estimated. Some findings will turn out to be intentional, or wrong. Something can look unusual and be perfectly fine.

  • Every decision you make on the basis of what the app shows is yours. Check the source records, which the app links to, before you act.
  • Nothing the app shows is accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, or an audit. It does not replace your accountant.
  • Costs the app estimates from your settings are estimates, and they are labelled as such.
  • The app depends on what Shopify's APIs let it read. Where Shopify limits what we can see, for example how far back orders go, the analysis covers less and the app says so on screen rather than pretending otherwise.
  • The app names no person as having done anything wrong. An issue is a question about the records, not an accusation.

We are not responsible for commercial decisions you make from a finding, or for money you do not recover.

05Plans, billing and cancelling

All billing runs through Shopify. We never see or store your card details, and every charge appears on your Shopify invoice. Prices are in US dollars.

Free: $0
A scan of the history Shopify lets us read, then a re-check once a month. Free permanently, not a trial.
Monitor: $9 a month
Up to 500 orders a month, monitored continuously. 14-day free trial.
Growth: $19 a month
Up to 3,000 orders a month, monitored continuously. 14-day free trial.
Scale: $29 a month
Up to 15,000 orders a month, monitored continuously. 14-day free trial.
  • A paid plan renews every 30 days until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on the Plan screen in the app or by uninstalling it, and you never have to email us to stop paying.
  • If you cancel or stop paying, you move to the free plan. You are not locked out, and your history stays until you uninstall the app.
  • If a month brings more orders than your plan covers, we tell you in the app and suggest the next plan. We do not switch monitoring off.
  • We will tell you inside the app before a price you pay changes, and a change takes effect at your next renewal, not mid-period.
  • If you cancel a paid plan, Shopify credits the unused part of the current period to your account. A free trial is offered once per store, and changing plans during it keeps the days you have left.

06Your data, and our data protection terms

You own your data. We use it only to provide the app to you. The privacy policy at /privacy describes exactly what the app reads and keeps. Where the app processes personal data on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor, and we agree to the following:

  • We process personal data only on your documented instructions, which are your use of the app and these terms, and to comply with law.
  • Everyone who can access it is bound by confidentiality.
  • We apply the security measures described in the privacy policy, including encryption of access tokens and per-store separation of data in the database.
  • We use only the sub-processors listed in section 10 of the privacy policy. We will update that list before adding one. If you object to a new sub-processor, you can uninstall the app, and your data is deleted as described below.
  • We help you answer requests from your customers and from data protection authorities, to the extent they concern data we hold.
  • If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we tell you without undue delay and within 72 hours.
  • Personal data is deleted 48 hours after you uninstall the app, when Shopify sends the shop redaction notice, unless the law requires us to keep it. On request, and once we have verified you, we will confirm the deletion.
  • On reasonable request we will give you the information needed to show we comply with this section. Write to dev@watacle.com.
  • Your data is processed in the United States, in the regions listed in the privacy policy.

07Acceptable use

  • Do not try to break, probe or overload the app, or reverse engineer it.
  • Do not use the app to access data for a store you are not authorised to manage.
  • Do not resell the app or use it to provide a competing service.
  • Do not use the app in a way that breaks Shopify's terms.

We may suspend access if the app is being misused, and we will tell you why.

08Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the app running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. It depends on Shopify and on our hosting and database providers. Checks run on a schedule and in response to changes in your store, so what you see can lag what just happened. We may improve, change or retire features, and we will tell you in the app about changes that matter to you.

09Ownership

Your data stays yours. The app, its code, checks and design belong to us, and these terms give you a right to use the app, not to own it. If you send us feedback we may use it without owing you anything.

10Warranties and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the app will find every issue, that everything it flags is a problem, or that any amount will be recovered.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the app is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event, or US$100 if you paid nothing, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or revenue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11Ending this agreement

You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app. We can end it if you breach these terms and do not fix the problem, or if we stop offering the app, in which case we will give you reasonable notice. What happens to your data when it ends is set out in the privacy policy and in section 6.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts there have jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

13Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you inside the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using the app afterwards, the new terms apply.
